Gary LunnGreat launch yesterday - thank you John for your kind words. "Without question Gary is the best Sport Minister we have had for the past 35 years" said Furlong. "Through his actions he has made the statement that sport matters and is important to Canadian families. Working with him on the Vancouver winter games proved to me that when Gary takes on a project he delivers beyond expectations". Pics to come.

Gary LunnThe 443 Martime Helicopter Squadron at the Pat Bay hangar is such a huge part of our local community in so many ways. They make us proud each and every day! We are pleased to support them a new helicopter facility that will replace the existing hangar which is now more than 60 years old. It will house the nine new CH-148 Cyclone helicopters that are expected to arrive in the spring of 2014.The project will also include the construction of an exterior aircraft apron capable of parking up to five Cyclone helicopters, a taxiway linking the parking apron to the runway, an aircraft wash area and re-fuelling cabinet, a parking area for up to 300 vehicles, a guard house with security barriers, and a perimeter security fence.

Gary LunnAs part of our Government’s ongoing efforts to create jobs and economic growth for Canada, we have been successful in the opening of Canadian exports of spruce, pine and fir products to India. There is huge potential in this agreement, which is effective immediately, and it will create jobs for Canada’s forestry sector as well as boost Canada’s economy.

Among those that passed were key elements of the 2010 budget, new measures strengthening consumer protection, eliminating Old Age Security benefits for prisoners, and additional measures to protect children from sexual predators. Gary LunnStatistics Canada reported this morning that 15,200 new jobs were created in November, as the unemployment rate fell to 7.6 per cent. November’s job growth shows yet again that Canada's Economic Action Plan is creating jobs and keeping our recovery on track.
