greDid you ever wonder when you were a kid if your parents were playing favorites? Well...its the same with the government and energy sources. They play favorites. And they do so with your money. If solar/wind/etc got these subsidies instead of fossil fuels...they would be the cheapest energy sources. Perhaps the govermnet should consut Canadians on where they want their $800 to go.Jun 05, 2013 12:24 pm | British Columbia, British Columbia Southern Interior

greI have a burning desire to see justice happen in this Robocall scandal. I have since the day after the 2011 election when the pattern of it emerged. This is a good article on the recent ruling. While I find the ruling dissapointing, at least it did do some vague finger pointing. Without naming names - the robocalls benefitted one party over all; the list of people called came from one parties voter database; and one party has tried to impede and block investigation of any wrongdoing in this case. Its the same party in each case. It doesn't take a genius to see what went on here. But as a country, it will take our collective integrity to show the world we can hold their feet to the fire. Canada is better than this.May 28, 2013 7:37 am | British Columbia, British Columbia Southern Interior
greA judge confirms there was widespread election fraud in 2011 and that it likely originated from the Conservative Voter database...but it would appear nothing will happen from this ruling. All wind and no fire as they say.May 23, 2013 9:39 pm | British Columbia, British Columbia Southern Interior

greIt should be noted that I am against developing the oil sands at all. However, I did want to point out that Mr. Oliver's arguments are completely without merit. He worries that oilsands crude will be stranded in Alberta and we will somehow (as a result) be less prosperous. Oil doesn't go bad, and it is a resource that sees increasing demand and decreasing supply. This means logically, that the longer it is 'stranded' in Alberta, the more valuable it gets. The greatest prosperity comes from us leaving it in the ground as long as possible. Think about it.May 07, 2013 7:42 am | British Columbia, British Columbia Southern Interior

greMy summary of the article: "Every nickle and dime is accounted for" says Tony Clement. "What about the 3.1 billion?". "Well...except for those nickles and dimes, obviously" replies Tony Clement. greI have come to believe that the only way to change things for the better is this sort of cooperation in the next election. With the idea that proportional representation would get priority to be set up - followed immediately by another election. Sadly this would mean not running a green candidate next election. But it's more important to get something like proportional representation implemented than anything else. This is simply because the problem right now in Canadian politics is not who gets votes, but how they get into power.Mar 26, 2013 8:03 am | British Columbia, British Columbia Southern Interior

greInteresting news. In a recent robocalls case, the Cons claimed they were not involved at all. When presented with forensic voice analysis (which traced it to RackNine owner Matt Meier), they then did an about face and admitted that they did initiate the calls.
