- ndpI attended the Halifax NDP AGM this afternoon. There was an incredible turn-out (150+) to hear from MP Megan Leslie give an update to members. Following the AGM, we had the pleasure of meeting and hearing from Federal leadership candidates Nathan Cullen, Paul Dewar, Peggy Nash and Robert Chisholm. Each had a different style and an individual focus in terms of their main message but all were articulate, passionate and visionary in their own way about the future of the Party and the opportunities ahead. Having now heard from most of the candidates, New Democrats will have a hard choice come March. - ndpI attended the Premiers Dinner last night to pay tribute to Darrell and the incredible team of NDP MLA's that he has lead for the past 2 1/2 years. A great crowd was on-hand including four of the candidates for Leadership of the Federal Party (Peggy Nash, Robert Chisholm, Romeo Saganash and Thomas Mulcair). - ndpOf the candidates that have come forward I've now had the pleasure of talking to 3. While still wanting to hear from the others to get a better understanding of their vision, what they bring to the role and how they see engaging and transforming the party organizationally etc, what I can say is that we are not lacking inspired choices. The convention is in March, which seems a long way off, but really isn't.
