- MPDay two (2) of hearing witnesses about Bill C-31 in the Citizenship and Immigtarion Committee (CIMM). This story is a good depiction of what is happening in the committee ... Mr.Showler was our witness here yesterday in committee. This bill removes remedies in law that were created for those vi crimes of persecution. This Bill penalizes asylum seekers based on their "mode of arrival" by having them declared an "irregular arrival" with mandatory detention without review for 12 months, denial of the right to apply for permanent resident status for 5 years after a favorable determination of the protection claim, denial of access to relief based humanitarian and compassionate grounds, temporary resident permits, or travel documents, denial of the right to appeal...etc.May 01, 2012 8:44 am | Ontario, Scarborough—Rouge River

- MPHi everyone...it is the month of Movember now (also known as November). I am a Mo-Sista working to raise the awareness of prostate cancer and the impact it has on men's health. My goal is to raise $1000 and to date have just started making pitches so am really FAR from my goal.
