libFrom March 26th – 28th, 2010, Michael Ignatieff, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, will be hosting a conference in Montréal. This conference will be about starting a dialogue around the big issues that will determine the future well-being of Canadian families, individuals and communities. Canada at 150: Rising to the Challenge is about the future. It’s about bringing together leading thinkers and doers from across Canada and around the world to grapple with what Canada can and should be when we mark our 150th anniversary in 2017. More importantly, it’s about what must be done today to get there. The conference is also going to be webcast live at www.can150.ca, and will be designed to receive questions from satellite events from across the country. As such, my colleague, Yasmin Ratansi, M.P. (Don Valley East), and I are organizing a special event where members of our communities can meet to watch part of the Montréal conference webcast and participate in the exchange of ideas with one another, as well with the participants in Montréal. The event will take place on Saturday, March 27th from 8:30am to 5:30pm in the IBEW building at 1377 Lawrence Avenue East, Toronto, ON. We have a full day of discussions planned (agenda below), so come for one session or stay for the whole day. Spread the word! Invite your friends. Help us engage all Canadians in this important event.
