Here’s an update on some of the projects and commitments our team has been working on this week: Finance Minister Bill Morneau announced the start of public consultations on the upcoming federal budget. And he wants to hear from you: He’ll be touring the country, holding meetings and hosting two Facebook Town Halls, January 11th and 15th. Science Minister Kirsty Duncan announced a $4 million investment in clean technologies, which will go to a Queen’s University-led team working on the production of hydrogen gas from water, among other projects. Read more about it here: ow.ly/WNQtH And Navdeep Bains, the Innovation, Science and Economic Development Minister, visited the Canadian Space Agency this week to announce plans for an advanced new visioning system for Dextre, the robot arm on the International Space Station. The system will boost capacity to inspect the space station for damage, and reduce the need for spacewalks.
