Thank-you again to all of my supporters, friends, family, and tremendous volunteers. This was a great experience for me despite the outcome, and I wish Keith all the best in Ottawa.

I'd like to say thank you to all who have supported me during the campaign. Volunteer support has been incredible, and response at the doors second to none. I strongly believe that the Liberal platform strikes a balance between looking after our families and economy. I hope I can count on your support on May 2nd. More importantly, I simply hope that you exercise your right to vote on May 2nd - vote your conscience.

"I really tremble, I'm just full of fear. I love the country, we are the fourth oldest parliamentary democracy in the world. I treasure it, but I would be afraid that our government would be in the hands of people who don't treasure it, don't respect it...Its a scary election for Peter Russell, and an important one for Canadians” Peter Russell, one of the world's leading constitutional scholars http://bit.ly/mOAd2u

#3: Stephen Harper has been able to coast on the Liberal negotiated transfer agreement with the provinces. Remember that in Harper's March budget, federal health transfer $ were "subject to change". #4: Don't believe Harper is the best steward for the Canadian economy. He inherited a $14b surplus in 2006/2007 and has turned it into a $56b deficit.

Thanks to Fredericton Chamber of Commerce for hosting Business and Economy debate this morning. We talked about many great issues. Here are my takeaways: #1: This region has enormous R&D potential. Commercialization of that potential is key to the economic success of NB #2: Our airport is vital link for businesses and government. Airport fee increases at YFC don't appear to be going towards security as intended.

I took some time to write a blog post on why it is so important to me and my family, and what the Liberal Party plans to do to protect and improve our system. "Said Mr. Harper: 'I think on issue after issue, Canada’s engaged, Canada’s contributed. And this should not be a matter of partisan debate.' But of course it should be a matter of partisan debate. To begin with, 'Canada's engagement' has been selective ... In Latin America, for instance, it consisted of words that were not followed by deeds."

My three children are all attending university with no financial help from me. In addition to their school responsibilities, Kate, Anna and David are all working part time jobs. That is why I am so proud of the Learning Passport that provides a minimum of $1,000 a year to every high school student in Canada for further education. It’s a small step in the right direction towards investing in our future.

What sets Canadians apart from other countries are that we don't breed or perpetuate unwarranted fear of criminal activity. And with good reason - crime rates are declining. Serious criminals already face tough sentences. So what's with the fear mongering and multi-billion dollar cost increases to the penal system?

Stephen Harper has proven time and time again honesty and integrity are two traits missing from his DNA. The Bottom Line…Stephen Harper must go. I ask you to help me make that happen.
