Great interview this morning on Metro Morning about how reinstating the census will reduce risk, help us identify business opportunity, save money and improve social services. Next week MPs will vote on my bill to bring back the mandatory long-form census. Let your MP know that you hope that he or she considers these important points when voting!

Cancelling the mandatory long-form census is hurting cities: "The change has affected the city’s finances. 'We definitely have to spend extra dollars on pursuing other sources of data … and the staff time to assess whether we can use it to compare over time.'"

Please share this infographic showing how the voluntary National Household Survey measures up to the mandatory long-form census (It doesn't!). Today MPs will be debating my Bill C-626 to reinstate the census. Tell your MP that you support reliable data and evidence-based policy!
