  At the National House of Prayer. Rabbi Benny Elon was a member of the Israel Knessat for fourteen years. In 2001 after his colleague was assassinated in Jerusalem he became the Minister of Tourism at a most difficult time. He told us how thrilled he was at the time when thousands of Christians, inspired by Zachariah chapter fourteen, came at the Feast of Tabernacles – a tradition which required a pilgrimage to Jerusalem – to visit Israel and parade in the streets carrying flags from many countries. This tradition has continued to grow.

  This statue honouring the Russian War Dead is in a military cemetery in Tallinn. It was moved in April 2007 from the middle of town and caused widespread protests from the minority Russian speaking residents of Estonia... a very sensitive issue.
