    Elizabeth May will be delivering the keynote address at the 2013 Environmental Studies Association of Canada (ESAC) Conference. The theme for the event is "Edges and Flows: Diversity, Environment, and Society"

    EASC is Canada’s leading association of interdisciplinary researchers and practitioners involved in a diversity of environmental fields. The association facilitates networking and dialogue across environment-related fields and practices.

    The 2013 ESAC conference provides a unique opportunity for delegates to take part in a lively exchange of ideas relating to sustainability among a broad range of students, academic researchers, members of NGOs, community groups, and the public and private sector academics, practitioners, policy makers, and activists. The conference runs from June 3 - 5.

    Later today, there will be a vote on an NDP motion to demand that Canada not ratify the Canada-China FIPA. We strongly support this motion and believe that it represents the will of Canadians.

    If you have not already done so, please call or write to your Member of Parliament and ask that they stand up for Canada and vote to prevent Prime Minister Harper from ratifying this Agreement behind our backs. It's terribly important that you do this today!?

    Elizabeth May will be participating in a panel dicussion as part of The Max and Tessie Zelikovitz Centre's event, "If Not Now, When: Responsibility and Memory after the Holocaust". The panel topic is "Religion and Public Life: Issues of Discrimination and Intolerance" and will begin at 4:00pm.

    The purpose of this conference is to bring together Canadian parliamentarians, senior Holocaust studies scholars, survivors and other public figures around the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s mandate of remembrance, education and research.

    Paraders will assemble at Centennial Square behind City Hall at 12:00 on Saturday April 20th. Samba du Soliel will lead the Parade which starts at 12:30. The Earth Walk will go down Douglas Street to St. Annes Academy Grounds

    Elizabeth May will be speaking at the 20th annual International Association of Fire Fighters' Legislative Conference. The conference is an important opportunity for MPs to meet and speak with fire fighters from across the country. Elizabeth's address will begin at 10:30 am

    This year's conference will focus on the implementation of bill M-388, which urges the government to establish a national Public Safety Officer Compensation (PSOC) benefit, priority access to vaccines and antivirals during an influenza pandemic and amendments to the National Building Code.
