In the United States, 31 percent of the food grown and raised, 133 billion pounds of food per year, is never eaten. Check it out here. I wonder how Canada compares? Likely much the same ..... This year please aim to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. And, most importantly, rethink expiration/best before dates, and don't throw out perfectly good food! That's my rant - thanks for "listening"! https://bisaromlaframelake.wordpress.com/2016/02/05/on-food-wastage

Check out this interesting article from @HuffPostCanada about a solution Toronto is using to battle mental health homelessness in their community. If @Yellowknifehome, @ouryellowknife #CABonhomelessness, and #NWTpoli are headed in this direction it will be a positive for 2016! #housingfirst https://bisaromlaframelake.wordpress.com/2015/12/28/mental-health-and-homelessness

The presentation below by Dr. Marie Wilson, Commissioner, Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, was given November 10, 2015 at the Legislative Assembly in Yellowknife. It was an event organized in collaboration between the NWT Regional Group of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada and Dene Nahjo. It is well worth watching. https://bisaromlaframelake.wordpress.com/2015/11/25/indian-residential-schools-truth-and-reconciliation-commission-and-policy-change-in-canada/
